Another Costume Update! (With pics!)  
Been working on my costume all week. And the dress/jacket thing is almost finished! All that needs to be done is tacking on the bias tape and sewing the buttons and it's done~~

...And then I have to make the sleeves and belts. Oh well. D: And I have only 10 days to do this. D:

Close up of the top--you can see the bias tape pinned on there, and not on the other side, since I'm frustrated with trying to get it to match up. Also, the BK symbol is off-center. DX


Close up of the bottom--at least that looks okay.

Also when I was taking the pics, my dog came to say hi, so here she is! :D

I envy your sewing skills! I can't do it to save my life xD I do try but ultimately I just fail and it all falls apart xD I just wasn't built for such things.
Costume is looking great by the way =O and your dog is so sweet =D she reminds me of my old doggie ^^

Oooh, we finally get pictures, huh? Awesome job so far. I really wish I knew how to sew... or had the time to learn... or had time at all. That might be nice.
Your dog is so photogenic. Really. *POSE!*

Anyway, I hope you'll be able to finish this in time! (Only ten days? O_o I go back to school in eleven days... aww, now I'm depressed.) Good luck!

Yeah, there were no pics before, since I had misplaced my digital camera. XD But now I found it! :D

Learning to sew isn't that hard actually, you start with hand sewing to get the feel for it, then move up to the machine and practice sewing straight. Once you get the hang for it, look for easy patterns and follow the instructions, and its a doozy.

The only hard part is when you're advanceed enough that you can make up your own patterns to do stuff like this, and ultimately fail sometimes when your ideas don't work. D:

And thank you, I love my doggy.

I have ten days to sew on the bias tape, sew buttons, make the sleeves, and belts, then go back and fix the seam in the dress/thing, paint the diamonds on the boots, and make Cheeze-kun if I have any extra time.
